Come and see a classic film without the long drive to a expensive multiplex.  Every month the Lawson Hut hosts a screening of some of the best films of all time.  Bring your own popcorn, drinks and friends and enjoy a night out at the cinema without all the hassle. Seating is limited and booking is essential. Admission is free, parking is free, use of glasses is free and there is no corkage charge.  Donations to support the cost of the room and film licence are very much welcome and appreciated.

Ewan McGregor and Pete Poslethwaite star in this classic award winning British comedy about a Yorkshire mining town and its famous brass band.  Gloria is sent by her energy company to assess the condition of the coal mine in her former hometown. Her arrival threatens the residents way of life, but find inspiration and a new lease of life in the local band, which prepares for a national competition.
